At the foot of the Alps and on the banks of Lake Geneva, the beautiful mountain town of Montreux will transform itself into the Mecca of the international music scene and host The 42nd annual Montreux Jazz Festival.

During the festival the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition will take place. This challenging competition, founded by Shure and the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2003, provides aspiring jazz vocalists the opportunity to compete in front of an international jury and audience.

The competition is open to all vocalists under the age of 35, candidates need to submit their applications by April 15, 2008. Detailed information on the festival and competition can be found on www.montreuxjazz.com or www.fondation2.ch.

London Guitar Show, Drummer Live, The Sound Recording Technology Show and The Unplugged Show are all part of the new and exciting LONDON INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SHOW at ExCel, London.

This major event takes place at London Excel Centre and is certain to become one of the biggest music making Shows in the world. The London International Music show will feature 2 Live Stages and 4 massive halls full of the latest musical instruments and pro audio equipment from the worlds leading brand names.

Shure Distribution will be exhibiting in the Sound Recording Technology (SRT) halls at stand F24.

SRT presented in association with Sound on Sound will be the UK showcase for the latest products straight out of Frankfurt and NAMM, and will be packed with seminars, clinics and expert demonstrations to create the ultimate hi-tech mix.
