QSC MD Series Loudspeakers UK Launch At The Plasa Show

12.09.2004 -- QSC's new MD (ModularDesign) Series loudspeakers encompass eight models incorporating the highest quality components designed into a robust and versatile enclosure. They make an exceptional choice for a wide variety of applications including houses of worship, performing arts facilities, hotels and casinos, clubs and sporting facilities. For design/build contractors and electro/acoustic design consultants, they represent a comprehensive solution to the myriad challenges typically encountered in permanent sound reinforcement installations.

 

Conceived as a family of modular, arrayable, full-range and low frequency products, the MD Series includes six full-range models available in three coverage patterns with either 12" or 15" low-frequency drivers. Models include the MD-F122/64r, MD-F122/94r, MD-F122/124r, MD-F152/64r, MD-F152/94r and MD-F152/124r. Two low-frequency models with single 15" and 18" transducers are the MD-L115 and MD-L118 respectively. All these models share the same 35" tall, 30-degree trapezoidal enclosure.

 

As ModularDesign+loudspeaker models share a common form factor, creating full-range or combined full-range/low-frequency clusters is painless. Since the enclosures are designed with 30-degree angles, tightly packing them together splays the 60x40 horns perfectly and provides uniform coverage of any multiple of 60 degrees up to 360 degrees. No gaps or spacers are required and the radial front grilles form a contiguous cylindrical surface for a clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

 

Throughout the PLASA Show the MD Series can be viewed on the Shure Distribution UK stand, F50. In addition, demonstrations will take place during the show, in the Piccadilly Room, Earls Court One. Bookings should be made on the stand.
