Following the success of Phonic’s USB enabled Helix Boards launched earlier this year, the PLASA Show will see the unveiling of two Helix Board FireWire compact mixers.

 

Phonic Helix Board FireWire mixers enable an affordable digital mixer experience. Connect a Helix Board FireWire to your computer's FireWire port to get live, 96 kHz CD-quality sound.

 

Low latency playback lets you record directly to your computer and monitor in real-time. Helix Board FireWire mixers assure perfect audio quality when multi-track recording by allowing you to monitor previously recorded audio files through your headphones while recording another track.

 

Both Helix Board FireWire models feature Phonic’s in-house 24-bit digital effects engine. The Helix Board 12 FireWire is a compact 12-Input mixer with an additional ALT 3-4 stereo bus, whereas the Helix Board 18 FireWire is an 18-Input, 2-subgroup mixer with S/PDIF out and 10-band graphic EQ. Each Board ships with Steinberg’s Cubase LE software.

 

The Helix Boards will be present on the Shure Distribution UK stand, F34 and will retail from £299 and £450 inc VAT respectively.
