Phonic Goes to China

11.09.2005

Shangai, China, – Phonic announces the opening its office in Shanghai, which is centrally located in Shanghai’s bustling Xiu Hui district. Shanghai was chosen for Phonic’s China sales office for its advanced technological infrastructure and the abundance of qualified workers.

Operations at Phonic China include both domestic and international components in sales and customer service. The company just returned from Beijing’s CALM show where Phonic’s products attracted key buyers and major contractors throughout China.

Phonic CEO Stephen Wang commented that, “Much of successful business comes from excellent timing and this is the right time for Phonic to increase our presence in China. As Phonic grows closer to customers in China, we grow closer to all our customers around the world.”

By the end of July, Phonic Shanghai will have approximately twenty sales and customer service specialists. Phonic veteran Rebecca Hwang leads Shanghai’s international operation, while Jimmy Xie heads the domestic portion. The impact of Phonic China will be felt immediately as Xie and his team spend the next four months on the road, promoting education and awareness of Phonic products. Xie remarks, “The Chinese market is hungry and anxious to see what Phonic has to offer. So far, the responses have been very positive.”

Internationally, the new Shanghai sales team allows more personal attention to be given to each of Phonic’s existing customers and increases capacity for new customers. In all, a Chinese branch office puts Phonic in a position of rapid growth in China and places Phonic in a stronger strategic position worldwide.
