The legendary Soul singer began her career as an Ikette with Ike and Tina Turner. She came to London with them to tour with the Rolling Stones in the mid-sixties and began her solo career as the first female artist on the Immediate record label under the supervision of Andrew Oldham and Mick Jagger. PP Arnold toured with her backing band “The Nice” alongside The Small Faces, Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, Blind Faith, The Kinks and many other legendary bands of the sixties. She has dueted with Rod Stewart on the Mod classic “Come Home Baby”.
Arnold's West End Theatre credits include: Jack Good’s Rock Othello, Catch My Soul as Bianca, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Starlight Express” as Belle-original cast and Erzuli in the Olivier Award winning “Once On This Island
She had recorded the acclaimed “Perfect Sense” with Roger Waters on his “Amused To Death” album in 1992 and was invited to tour with him on his “In The Flesh ‘99, ‘2000 &’2002 World tours”, as well as his ‘2006, ‘2007, & ‘2008 “Dark Side Of The Moon World tours
At present PP Arnold is completing her long-awaited autobiography. Along with unreleased recordings from the late 60’s and early 70’s produced by Barry Gibb, Eric Clapton, Fuzzy Samuel and others will be released later this year to the delight of all of her long term, patient Soul fans.
