Doves are an English indie rock band, originating from Wilmslow. The band comprises brothers Jez Williams (guitar, vocals) and Andy Williams (drums, vocals), and Jimi Goodwin (bass, vocals, guitar). Formerly known as dance act Sub Sub, Doves were formed in 1998.

Their Third album, Some Cities climbed to number one during its first week of release and led to the band opening band opening for the likes of U2, Oasis, and Coldplay. Their fourth studio album, Kingdom of Rust was released in April 2009 to critial acclaim.
